FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How long have you been a photographer?

I started learning about film and developing negatives in high school. I was the only one in the class who managed to develop their film and create prints — no lie!

My mom and dad had a significant influence on my interest in photography, which profoundly shaped my perspective on printed pictures. So, I was always the one taking photos of all the family events once I became a teenager.

I studied media in college and taught visual and media arts for nearly a decade to students along the East Coast. 

Russ Bratcher Photography opened in January 2023.

What is the difference between a boutique service and an online gallery? 

My passion is creating printed artwork for your home and office. In the age of iPhones and cloud-stored photos, we don't print as much as we could. 

My boutique service is a white-glove experience where we design artwork for your home or office. After the photo session, I will expertly craft fine art that can be printed, framed, or placed in a heirloom album for you to pass down to future generations. I wrap each product and deliver it directly to your home. I also offer installation of framed pieces if you'd like!

We provide online galleries for all our clients, but if you want your session to feel truly special—like Christmas morning when you unwrap your new artwork—our boutique service is the perfect choice! 

Do you offer print products?

You can buy professional, archival-quality prints from your gallery, such as albums, canvases, metal prints, and more. You can also create your own prints, but quality isn't guaranteed unless printed through your gallery. During booking, add a designer photo album, delivered directly to you. Choose a cover—velvet, suede, leather, or linen. Our favorite is linen with gold debossing of your family name, making it a chic heirloom for your children.
